Job Description:

-Responsible for overall company accounting operations: Financial operations, Material operations, Taxes, Preparation of salaries, Tax and finance consulting
-Responsible for the month-end closing process
-Take ownership of balance sheet and income statement checks as part of the month-end closing process
-Perform in the day-to-day accounting tasks and invoicing procedures
-Assist in the preparation of error-free financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance;
-Compile VAT workings, prepare the VAT returns for submission and ensure that the relevant taxes are paid properly and on time
-Verify, maintain and document financial transactions appropriately keeping accounting journals and other financial records updated accordingly

Qualifications:

-A fully qualified and licensed accountant
-Knowledge and experience in tax would be considered an asset;
-Minimum of 2 years experience within accounting, preferably in the IT industry;
-Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications especially Microsoft Excel.
