Meet Djoko, a Cloud BizzApps Engineer at Solutionade. In this interview, Djoko shares his experience working in the field, how Solutionade has supported his personal and professional growth, and advice for those just starting out in a career in Microsoft Dynamics.
Q: What inspired you to pursue a career in Microsoft Dynamics, and how did you end up at Solutionade?
Djoko: I found out about Solutionade when I was in the process of applying to several open internship postings. After being accepted, I decided to give it a try and start growing my professional career. I wasn’t even aware of the scope and breadth of these tools and what the Microsoft Dynamics family of products and services encompasses. Eventually, I realized the potential of the platform and its purpose and decided to pursue a full-time career in it.
Q: Can you walk us through your career journey so far at Solutionade? What have been some of your biggest challenges and successes?
Djoko: As I mentioned already, I started my journey just like any other intern, not knowing anything Microsoft Dynamics related. After the three-month internship period, which was filled with challenges and opportunities to learn, I was offered to stay at the company on a full-time basis, which I happily accepted. I would say my biggest challenge was entering a world of developers and consultants that all had 5+ years of experience on a platform that has been running and improving for more than 18 years and still collaborating closely with them. Yes, some days were more challenging than others, but at the end of the day, every single one of those presented a milestone.
Q: How has Solutionade supported your personal and professional growth, and what resources have been most helpful?
Djoko: The Solutionade team and organization have been an immense part of my growth, both personally and professionally. I’ve become more focused on my personal goals, but also now I’m taking every opportunity I get to further enrich myself. As to what resources have been of the most help for me, I cannot point out certain members because the goal of the whole team is to enrich ourselves and help wherever and whenever it is needed.
Q: Can you share a specific project or accomplishment that you’re particularly proud of in your time at Solutionade?
Djoko: Career accomplishments will always outstand the previous ones, but what I’ll always remember is my first meeting with a client, my first official Microsoft certification, my first long-time project, and much more.
Q: How do you see your career progressing in the future, and what goals do you have for yourself at Solutionade?
Djoko: Even before the internship period was going to end, I had already decided that I want to pursue a career as a Dynamics Consultant and Power Platform Developer because I could see the promising opportunities that lay ahead. Currently, my goals at Solutionade are to become one of the Team Leaders, and maybe even a mentor.
Q: Can you tell us about a mentor or colleague who has had a significant impact on your career, and how they’ve influenced you?
Djoko: As I already have stated, I would gladly mention the whole Solutionade team because even some of the team members that came after me and with less experience have helped me in some kind of way. But if I really have to, I would say Filip , Krste , Jovana , and last but not least, Igor.
Q: What advice would you give to individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in Microsoft Dynamics, or those who are considering joining Solutionade?
Djoko: My advice to those interested in pursuing a career in Microsoft Dynamics is to keep an open mind to new opportunities and not be afraid to dive into a new technology or platform. Microsoft Dynamics and the Power Platform offer a wide range of possibilities, and even if you specialize in a certain area, there will always be something new to learn and explore.
